Stress and Happiness are correlated issues

Stress and Happiness are correlated issues

Stress and Happiness are Correlated

How Stress affects us?

"No, you cannot stop the birds of sorrow from flying over your head, but you can stop them from building nests in your hair"; I totally agree with this quote of D.B. Patterson. However, it's not possible to stop negative things happen in your life but it's possible to be unaffected by whatever negative thing happens around you. If you are being affected by the negative things happening in your life then you definitely require to learn the tricks to protect yourself from such consequences.

Stress also affects our body:

One of my friends asked me, "Do U know stress also influences skin?" I was surprised to know how stress is playing negative roles in various aspects and when we think about happiness that is also not possible if someone is affected by stress syndrome. We know that stress is a temporary state of mind but it's amazing fact that most of the diseases which remain long-term like blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems are the result of stress and even worsen with stress. Skin diseases are also badly affected by stress. Through meeting each-other and using social media everyone advises others to take care and try not to stress out too much but is it possible?

Stress and Happiness are correlated:

After going through a lot of research work in the areas of stress management and happiness it is realized that one can remain happy and out of stress for forever if he follows ethics and moral values in his conduct and lifestyle. It is easy to say "keep smiling and make life full of positivity" but to make it happens one has to go through the Vedas and religious values.

If someone remains happy then diseases also go far from his life. What is inside the body that is visualized outside? Keeping the state of the body in happy mode also brightens the skin with the removal of problems from life.

During my research, a person told me, "Ander ki Khushi bahar jhalkti hai" and this is fact.

Tips to follow for getting rid of stress:

There are a few things which one should follow to get rid of stress:

1. The stress comes when someone behaves out of our expectations and it happened when we don't give respect to others. It also happens when we expect more than the actual situation. We should not trust blindly and make relationships only after a long-term association.

2. It is fact that a person plays multiple roles in his life and in each role he usually faces different persons, different situations, and these roles also sometimes create stress. If a person is flexible to keep its one role unaffected from the stress of another role then he can remain happy forever.

3. Time should be managed in such a way that the priorities can be completed on time or with the least delay to affect life. Instead of wasting time on Whatsapp and Facebook, time limits should be determined for use of such apps.

4. It is a must to realize fact that the sentiments at workplaces affect performance. One should perform his work with full dedication and there should not be the scope of sentiments in affecting the work performance. The timely completion of work without touching deadlines also makes us happy.

5. One should trust upon Almighty who empowers to achieve lifetime goals. Feeling blessed and always being in a mode of thanking Almighty works in increasing happiness.

6. Being hasty in doing work, cannot be considered wise. One should perform the tasks with adequate planning. If targets are achieved on time, then one should enjoy the moments with celebrations.

In last, the research study concludes that stress and happiness are positively correlated. If happiness comes to life, then stress goes out and the diseases are reduced significantly. On the other hand, if stress comes in life, then happiness is reduced automatically and the diseases either originated from the mind or be worsened.

Happiness and Freedom

Happiness comes from freedom, either psychologically or physically.

Psychologically, we can feel free by doing Meditation. It is rightly said, "Sometimes You just have to die little inside to be reborn and rise again as a stronger and wiser version of You."

The virus of Corona Covid-19 tried to take our freedom and most of the happiness gone during the few months of 2020 however, each person made efforts to stay with physical distance, starting living a healthy life with taking a protein-rich diet, leaving bad eating habits etc. Let's share a small story to understand how happiness can't be detached from freedom:

Once a family invited nearby people to celebrate an occasion and sweet hot Rice ("Kheer") were being prepared to serve the people. The preparing of food took more time and the people were eagerly waiting for the food and the smell was coming quite good from the kitchen. Since it was getting late everyone was hungry. The time came and Sweet Hot Rice ("Kheer") was being served to all and the cook came and announced that he tried a lot to remove all the stones from the rice however, there may still be any stone therefore everyone should eat with care.

Everyone started eating slowly instead of great hunger so that no stone be eaten. While eating everyone was thinking that there may be a stone in his food. But no one found stone and the entire food was delicious. Now everyone was looking at the cook why he gave the alert and made the delicious food full of suspicions. The enjoyment was gone due to his announcement and everyone had eaten food with a feeling of doubt, without saying, without being cool and relaxed. The cook again told that he had doubt therefore he announced as it might be found in the food. The people at the get-together were feeling disappointed because no one focused upon the taste of food.

Similarly, the virus Covid-19 Corona made the people act with precautionary measures, and due to precautions, each person is taking another person with a suspicious mindset. The virus took the freedom to act, to think beyond it, and even to live with freedom. The stress increased and due to such an environment, a long time passed without the enjoyment of the moments. Freedom is a must for happiness and we should not put hurdles in the life of others either by making words or doing wrong deeds.

Instead of it we should live happily and spread happiness, strengthen ourselves enough to face such viruses both physically and psychologically. Let's be committed to doing good deeds, act with a pure heart to support others, do meditation, do yoga, love each other and say bye-bye to jealousy and anger. Everything will soon be good and we will enjoy the moments as earlier just follow the habits of wearing masks and keeping physical distance.

Stress Management and Realization of Happiness

Stress Management and Realization of Happiness

Most people are worried when others start ignoring them. It is a must to stay positive even if the environment becomes negative because being worried never solves the problems. Therefore, always love yourself more than others.
Let us know what is depression - Depression - Nowadays people get so busy in the running of life that after some time they become a victim of depression. Depression is a mental illness that usually lasts for short time. However, in the case of few people, it takes a  dangerous form. As per guidance, observed while treating the patients, depression is a complex disease that is caused by many factors, biological, hereditary, social, economic, etc.
In depression, a person's life gets filled with such a mindset that everything fun to do before, seems dull and useless. There is difficulty in focusing on work, which has a bad effect on the everyday life and functioning of a human being.
Feeling of being alone in a state of depression. Sometimes I feel like crying even if I become a little emotional.  If the situation worsens, the thought of committing suicide starts coming to mind.

What do the figures say?
According to the WHO, currently, 26 million 20 million people worldwide suffer from depression.  Every year around 8 lakh people die due to depression. Worldwide, suicide is the second leading cause of death among people aged 15 to 29 years.  Depression is the main reason behind these suicide cases.
In 2012, WHO  The Mental Health States of Adolescents in South-East Asia: Avid for Action Report stated that one in four adolescents in India were depressed.  WHO  According to the 2017 report, 5 crores 70 lakh people in India suffer from depression.
 Cause of depression:
Physical and mental abuse in childhood such as sexual abuse repeated transfers from one place to another, negative events such as death of a close relative, educational failure, bitterness in domestic or close relationships, in school and family  Harassment and stress are the main causes of depression.
All parents and guardians want the best for their children.  But too much parentage, critical and slanderous parents or teaching style in childhood can lead to negative feelings about oneself in the child.  This can cause depression.
Another major cause of depression is addiction.  Once intoxicating, it becomes difficult to get rid of it.  This causes the person to be surrounded by financial, physical and mental troubles.  In a short span of time, this tension turns into a continuous depression.

 Symptoms of Depression

Depression is more common in adolescents and young adults.  This is because physical and mental changes occur more at this stage.  Also, the attitude of youth to see and understand the world changes rapidly.

Depression can be difficult to identify in children, adolescents, and young adults.  But here are some hints that you can avoid in time by watching it in your child and teenager or youth.  Prominent among these signs are:

Lack of distance or conversation with friends and family members
Indifference, carelessness, irresponsible behavior, lack of responsibility
 Low interest in entertainment activities
 Drop-in school performance
Overeating or no appetite at all
 Suddenly change in weight.
 behavior modification
 Unusual irritability and anger
Grief, irritability, screaming, crying without reason - or reacting sharply to the slightest criticism
Vague complaints of physical pain, headache, abdominal pain, back pain,
Difficulty in focusing and decision making
Extreme attachment to death - talking or joking about suicide
 Use of alcohol, drugs
 Sleep more or sleepless

 Treatment of Depression

Remember that depression is not a la-curable disease.  It can be easily corrected in the proper care of mind and body and in a positive social environment.

Generally, treatment of depression is a very easy and very inexpensive process in which an experienced neurologist or psychologist talks to the person for a few minutes and collects information related to the person and his depression, and treats the person by suggesting some medicines and some exercises.  Depending on the intensity/amount of depression, a person starts feeling normal within a few days or weeks and his daily process becomes normal.

Treatment with yoga, meditation, and breathing techniques

Depression is also a biochemical process in the brain and body.  The Art of Living has taught yoga, meditation, and breathing activities such as Sudarshan Kriya.  These actions help to release neurochemicals and hormones that can reduce depression.

Deep breathing, limb stretching exercises, and resting help with endorphins, serotonin, and G.A.B.A.  Such as neurochemicals are free which make a person feel happy and satisfied.  It also brings good sleep, which makes the person feel relaxed.

Activities such as yoga, meditation, and breathing, and Sudarshan Kriya are very effective in the treatment of depression and have no negative side effects.

Family / Guardian's contribution in the treatment of depression

A parent or close relative may encourage their child or family member to talk about their feelings in an open and cordial environment.  They can talk to him about the problems he is struggling with and cannot assure him that he is capable of facing those challenges and they are also standing with him.

In any case, the guardian should set a time every day to talk face to face with his children without any hesitation.  Prolonging their mental health and encouraging them proves to be helpful.

Do not talk to a depressed person or child just to bring them out of depression.  He just has to get used to expressing and sharing his feelings without hesitation.  He has to assure that his words will be heard and understood without preaching.

Parents know their child's friends and become friends of theirs.  Sri Sri Ravi Shankar often gives this advice to parents who want to change their child's behavior.  He says that if we want to impress our child and change some of his behavior, we have to know his friends and influence them too.

Interruptions in the treatment of Depression

Most of the world's population condones depression.  This is mainly because it is very common in underdeveloped and poor countries.

Depression is considered a matter of inhibition and prestige, so even people shy away from talking about it.

In many cases, the person suffering from depression does not know that he is suffering from depression, hence even its treatment is not possible.

In a multilateral international study on adults, 20–37 percent of depression victims in India did not seek medical help for one reason or the other.

In the end, we suggest that humans hide their problems and if they think they will tell others, then do not make fun of them.  This attitude aggravates the human problem more than it reduces it. If you are feeling very stressed, then go to a psychologist or psychiatrist. If you are thinking that what others think about you then you are making the biggest mistake, whatever others are thinking about you, you cannot change their mind. Yes, if you don't care what others think and do good for all, the thinking of others about you, will automatically be changed. It's rightly said,

In the era of Information Technology, everybody uses social media, the internet, and artificial relationships to realize temporary happiness. Even he realizes the stress without making any efforts. Stress comes from the environment due to some reasons beyond the control of an individual. To get rid of stress and for the realization of happiness; most people try to do meditation, perform humanitarian deeds, and look for spiritual congregations around the world. But real happiness if somebody desires; can easily be realized from very small efforts. If you are fully committed to fulfill all your social obligations and try your best then definitely you are very near to God and you can easily realize the grace of God without making many efforts.
Happiness can also be realized by helping the needy and treating nice people in an honorable manner with gentle behavior.
One should adopt the following principle in life:

Love Without Self Interest

In a college, the students of MBBS were attending their 1st Biochemistry Class. They all gathered around the Lab table with a Urine sample. The Professor dipped His Finger in the urine & tasted it in his own mouth.
Then he asked the students to do the same. The students hesitated for several minutes, but at last, everyone dipped their finger in the urine sample & tasted it...
When everyone finished, the Professor looked at them & said: The most important Quality is 'Observation'. I dipped my MIDDLE Finger but tasted the INDEX Finger. Today you just Learn, "How to Pay Attention".  All Students were surprised ๐Ÿ˜ฏ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
